For this project, I have taken
segments of footage from Moby Dick at Earl’s Court in 1975 and created
MIDI soundtrack versions of the solo at 100%, 75% and 50% speed. This
will allow you to see and hear exactly what John Bonham is playing. The
sheet music with the sticking patterns is included so you can follow
along with the video footage. Also included are MP3s of the solo (as
MIDI soundtracks) at 100%, 75% and 50% speed so you can play along with
an MP3 player and work the solo up to speed. These MP3 MIDI sequences
retain John Bonham’s phrasing and dynamics, which enable you to attempt
to emulate the feel of the solo.
